I have over 20 years of experience treating adults and adolescents in psychoanalytically-oriented psychotherapy. During the the COVID pandemic, I'm seeing patients virtually through tele-medicine, on some kind of screen or phone. I specialize in helping people with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues; sexual problems; addictions; and in treating survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
In addition, I enjoy doing parent guidance, particularly around learning differences and ADHD issues, and am skilled in helping parents work with their children and their children's school to build on strengths and bolster weaknesses.
As a psychoanalyst also interested in cognitive-behavioral therapy, I incorporate different modalities depending on what someone is looking for and what seems most useful. I strive to help clients feel as comfortable as possible, believing that a solid relationship is one of the fundamental requirements for successful therapy.
