I am an analytically trained psycho-therapist (Ph.D. NYU, 1971) with a prior background in law (J.D. Yale, 1967) and literature (A.B. Columbia college, 1964). I moved to San Francisco from Manhattan after completing analytic training at NYU's Postdoctoral Program In Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, and have been in private practice since 1985, in addition to holding staff and supervisory positions at the San francisco VA and Boyer House Foundation, and directing Walden House's Adolescent Program at its inception. I work with adults, adolescents, and couples, and consult with attorneys and divorcing couples, often to help them navigate the legal process and consider mediative solutions.
